Hey y’all, it’s Megan. I’m here to capture your special day. NYC based — Available anywhere

Why do I do what I do? Because preserving memories has a special place in my heart. It’s a cliche phrase, but photos are worth a million words, and video tells even more of a story you’ll be not only able to look back on years from now, but show to future generations.

I opened Meganography in September 2016, and started photographing weddings in 2017. Since then, I have captured over 200 weddings around the United States. Some of the places I have been blessed to visit have been Glacier National Park for a mid-July elopement, a Key West elopement while a hurricane came straight towards us (long story but we were all safe!), small town Blum Texas, sunny San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, Maryland, colorful Colorado, Washington, Oregon and more. I fell in love with the flow of a wedding day & the emotions. I feel I was put on this Earth to be the one to observe and capture the beauty of human nature. That’s one of the reasons why my artistry style falls more on the documentary side. I’ve always been taking photos, ever since I was little. I started taking photos of barbies, flowers, pets, and then it slowly turned into something bigger, way more than a hobby. I knew this is what I was meant for.

I will be here with you every step of the way. Each and every couple is special to me and I am dedicated to making the experience personalized like no other. If I’m in town and you want to get a bite to eat while we talk about life, I’m so down.

Who I AM

  • Yeah, I’m a huge foodie. Need a NYC food list? I already have it made and ready to send. Food is like the only thing I do other than capturing weddings lol.

  • I love shoot in new places. This opens up my creativity and challenges me from the normal, which I very much enjoy. So if I haven’t shot at your venue before, please don’t worry, it’s my specialty to explore new places.

  • I owned a 2nd business, Coffee & Purrs, Sioux City’s first ever and only cat cafe. It’s now closed but you can call me officially the crazy cat lady of Sioux City! I have 4 kitties at home and they have such a sweet spot in my heart, when folks call them fur babies, I absolutely resonate with that.

  • I’m a former dancer who is trying to get back into it! After moving to NYC, I tried going back to dance, and LOVED it. I would love to be back on a stage someday performing. I found a lot of my creative self through music and dance. You will quickly find out that my favorite band is TwentyOnePilots.
